FERRARI MONDIAL T

History

T

he Mondial family was extended to more elegant versions, in 1989. There has been little body change compared to its 3.2 predecessor. The engineers mainly focused on the engine, by passing it in longitudinal  position instead of transversal.

The engine capacity was raised to 3.4 litres and is fed by the Bosch Motronic M 2.5. So what does the “T” stand for? It only deals with the gearbox that was transversal, as the Formula One cars of the 70s.

With 842 coupés and 1010 cabrios, the Mondial T still remains a rare car nowadays.
